Rector’s Message

As the only public and comprehensive University in Macau, the University of Macau (UM) has been a key platform between the East and West and through which has had significant involvement and contribution to regional development strategies.

Located in the Pearl River Delta (PRD), and well established in now the most economically developed region in China, Macau is advantageously situated in one of the most prosperous areas in the world. UM has benefited from this remarkable expansion and development in the PRD, and through which has confirmed and elevated the University’s importance within the region. With the new developments in the Greater Bay Area, and the recent initiatives of the University in cutting edge research and interdisciplinary academic programmes, UM has entered a new era of unprecedented growth. This includes the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme offered by the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial and managerial capabilities among middle to senior business executives. This programme will provide participants with even greater opportunities to enhance their professional expertise, encompassing academic rigor within Macau and the region’s unique business and multicultural environment.
